I have my bachelors in Childhood Education, Grades 1-6 focusing in English from the College of Saint Rose. I am going for a Middle School Extension Course at Hofstra University this summer so that I will be certified through grade 9 and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Literacy from Mercy College, Grades Birth-12.
Experience
I have had experience tutoring students with disabilities, and a student transitioning from fourth to fifth grade. I currently teach Math and Science at the seventh grade level and am a homework helper during the Sports and Arts after school program for sixth and seventh grade students. I really enjoy tutoring because it's great to develop a one on one relationship with a student and to watch as they make progress. It is great for not only myself, but for the students to start seeing better results in school from test scores to simple homework assignments.
